Product Details

We tend to associate carotenoids with hearty veggies, but astaxanthin is most commonly found in shrimp, salmon, and even healthy algae. We source ours from bright red Haematococcus pluvialis. Natural algae-derived astaxanthin like ours is the only form of the carotenoid with a clinical backing. Like its other colorful cousins, this pigment has been linked to healthy cardiovascular and immune system. Even more exciting? Its effect on the aging process. Because it can fight off oxidative damage so effectively, it is thought that it supports the body’s natural response to stress, and as a result supports healthy aging.

Our delivery technologies use delicate yet precise systems to preserve and protect it in process, application (like tablets, dry mixes, gummies, beverages, etc.), and use. We select the best microencapsulation technologies to ensure that your product is a success on the shelves.

  • Gelatin Beadlets

    This method allows us to encapsulate the desired nutrients in gelatin. Our beadlets protect against oxidation and increase the stability of the nutrients housed inside.

  • Starch Beadlets

    Here, we encapsulate our active ingredients in starch. This type of beadlet is water dispersible and suitable for use in both food and supplements.

  • Alginate Beadlets

    This proprietary technology protects the active ingredient from mechanical stress and increases stability. The resulting beadlets are vegan and allergen-free.

Sports Nutrition

A new clinical study, published in Frontiers in Nutrition, showed that four weeks of daily supplementation with 8 mg of astaxanthin offset exercise induced damage, by helping restore balance of the immune system within the first 24 hours. The findings were especially significant for levels of IgM, the predominant antibody produced early in an immune response.
