Lycored is offering a virtual glimpse into the fields where it grows the tomatoes for its new skincare ingredient, LumenatoTM.
The leader in “cultivating wellness” has set up a webcam in one of its farms in the Galilee Panhandle in Israel. The Lycored Livestream offers a window on the fields where Lycored grows an exotic breed of golden tomatoes.
They provide the hero ingredients of LumenatoTM, a carefully calibrated skincare extract with high levels of phytoene and phytofluene – carotenoids which have been shown to improve skin appearance.
The livestream initiative is launched ahead of Earth Day (22nd April), which Lycored has celebrated since 2015. The company’s commitment to sustainability involves eliminating waste as much as possible. For example, the vines on which its tomatoes grow are re-used as animal feed.
Zev Ziegler, Head of Global Brand & Marketing, Health, at Lycored said: “With people hunkering down across the world, it’s good to take time out and watch something growing. It was the outside of our hero fruit that truly clarified our mission. As we watched the sun gently coax the tomatoes in our fields to ripen, we realized that given the right tools, smooth, supple skin is possible.”
He added: “As viewers get a small window into nature from our Livestream, we hope they’ll also be inspired. It’s natural to feel stressed from time to time and especially right now. This is an opportunity for people to take a moment of mindfulness and spend a bit of virtual time in nature.”
LumenatoTM is produced using a C02, solvent-free extraction process which keeps nutrients as close as possible to their natural form while maximizing their potency and synergy. This means it supports a solvent-free declaration for ingestible skincare applications.
